Our team is made up of three permanent staff, as well as a varying number of international volunteers. This small team has brought the Jesus Trail from dream to reality with hard work, determination and optimism. Thanks to the many people who have volunteered and provided encouragement as the Jesus Trail developed!
Founders
David Landis – david@jesustrail.com
Dave wears many hats as our resident outdoor adventure specialist, web developer, photographer, social networking specialist and guidebook coauthor. Dave single-handedly mapped out the Jesus Trail route in 2007 and has been instrumental in developing hiker resources and strategic planning for the trail.
Dave enjoys hiking all over the world, including Everest base camp and other trails in the Himalayas, the Camino de Santiago in Spain, the Saint Paul Trail in Turkey, the Inca Trail in Peru, Torres del Paine in Patagonia, the Israel National Trail, and parts of the Appalachian Trail in the Eastern USA. In 2004 he embarked on a round-the-world trip that took him to over 40 countries on four continents. He has also led a group of young adults on a bicycle trip across the continental USA.
Maoz Inon – maoz@jesustrail.com

Maoz owns the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazareth and co-founded ILH—Israel Hostels, the only network of independent hostels in Israel. He and his wife Shlomit are experienced hikers and travelers who have hiked extensively in South America, on the Pacific Crest Trail in California, and on the Israel National Trail.
Maoz is a selfmade tourism entrepreneur, whose successful projects include the Fauzi Azar Inn, Israel Hostels Network, the Jesus Trail and, recently, cofounding the Abraham Hostel in Jerusalem, Israel. Maoz’s vision and drive, along with his indefatigable work ethic, have made him the driving force behind getting the trail marked and recruiting volunteers and advocates to support the trail.
Research and Development
Anna Landis – anna@jesustrail.com
Anna came on the Jesus Trail scene in 2008 when she began writing content for the newly launched web site. A few years later, she’s married to David Landis and they’ve coauthored the Jesus Trail guidebook together!
Anna has done quite a bit of traveling and hiking herself, from South and Central America to Eastern Europe and the Middle East. She has studied religion and anthropology, along with NGO management, and has worked in non-profit development and responsible tourism initiatives. A talented writer and proofreader, Anna coauthored the Jesus Trail guidebook in 2010.
